Governance

Presbyterians believe that Jesus Christ is the true Head of the Church. So for the practical leadership the governance of a local church is shared by a pastor and elected lay officers, named elders and deacons.

Men, women and confirmed youth are encouraged to participate in the work and mission of the church. Every member is considered a “minister” with gifts and talents to share both in the local congregation and in the world.
